Pearl grey SPC in a herringbone pattern. The only format-led floor in the range.
Every other decor in this range is chosen on colour. This one is chosen on pattern. Herringbone lays short planks at right angles into a zig-zag, and the result is a floor that carries a room on its own — which is why it turns up most often in entrance halls, dining rooms and formal majlis.
The pearl grey is deliberately restrained. A strongly coloured herringbone quickly becomes overwhelming across a large area, so a quiet tone lets the pattern do the work without the floor shouting.

Does herringbone cost more to install?

Yes. Each short plank is set individually at an angle and the pattern has to stay true across the whole room, so it takes considerably longer than a straight lay and generates more offcuts. We quote herringbone separately for that reason.
Does herringbone suit a small room?

It can work well in a small entrance hall, where the pattern becomes a feature you see all at once. In a small living room it tends to be too busy — the pattern needs either a contained space or a large one to look deliberate.
Which direction should herringbone run?

Usually pointing along the main sightline as you enter, which draws the eye through the space. We set the direction on site with you before laying, because it is not something that can be changed afterwards.
