These are exterior panels, specified for outdoor use rather than indoor wall panelling. They go on facades, balcony walls, garden and boundary walls, and the shaded elevations of villas.
Outdoors in Qatar the failure mode is not wear, it is sun. Panels that are fine indoors fade, chalk and go brittle within a season or two on a south elevation. The outdoor range is UV stable and rated for direct sun and rain, and it is fixed on a batten system that lets water drain behind the panel instead of trapping it against the wall.
We survey the elevation first, because the fixing method depends on what is behind the render, and set the panel runs out so the joints land sensibly against openings.
